Processing power

When customers of Earl Dudley need to process geospatial data from their UAV surveying projects, they turn to LP360 from GeoCue. LP360 makes it possible to process, analyze, and maximize drone survey data, producing valuable information and deliverables with an intuitive workflow.  The GIS interface creates powerful 3D point cloud visualizations with multiple and synchronized windows.

The UAV LiDAR and photogrammetry processing software has an extensive toolbox of geospatial tools for deriving products that serve multiple industries and applications. The workflow in LP360 Drone enables the user to create and manipulate point cloud data directly from industry-standard LAS format without any time-consuming importing or converting processes.

The intuitive workflow and assortment of geospatial tools are just a few of the reasons Adam Arrington, President of Earl Dudley, LLC, is confident his customers can rely on the processing power of LP360 from GeoCue.

“We fell in love with the software solution,” says Arrington. “The LP360 software from GeoCue really drives the back-end side of the deliverables and it just was a great fit for us. The software enables our customers to get up and running very quickly. With LP30, the processing has been streamlined to not only be simple but also very quick, allowing our customers to create end deliverables in as short as 15 to 20 minutes after the drone has landed.”

A premier partner

Earl Dudley, LLC has been a leading provider of surveying, mapping, industrial, and construction measurement instruments throughout the southeast United States since 1938. Their specialties include UAV Mapping, 3D Laser Scanning, Machine Control, Mobile Mapping, Surveying, and GNSS.

The history, customer focus, and leadership demonstrated by Earl Dudley are some of the main reasons why the partnership was created to provide drone mapping software and hardware. Madelyne McNabb, the director of business development at GeoCue remembers when they decided to start doing business with Earl Dudley.

“At the time we were very particular about who we wanted to partner with,” said McNabb. “When we met with the Earl Dudley team, we realized they matched our technical excellence. However, what was even more critically important to our decision was just how they value their relationships with their customers. GeoCue is very hands-on from sales to supporting our customers.  We’ve found through the partnership with Earl Dudley that they treat their customers the same way.”

Standalone software

Whether it’s airborne or terrestrial collected LIDAR data, 3D point clouds have become a critical element in mapping. LP360 is an advanced desktop LIDAR software package that makes easy work of extracting information and generating deliverables in an intuitive GIS environment. Brooks Blakey, the Director of SUAS Sales for Earl Dudley, not only recommends the software but is a power user of LP360.

“LP360, as I like to say, is a turnkey product,” explains Blakey.  “You can bring in the raw data, both from your lidar or photogrammetry projects, and then easily export your point cloud, classify data, create contours, or measure stockpiles. It is a one-stop shop with pretty much every asset you’re going to need to process lidar and photogrammetry.

LP360 has been the professional choice in geospatial data processing software, since 2006. Chuck Snow, the Eastern United States Sales Manager for GeoCue, has extensive experience in geomatics and surveying markets, specifically in drone sales and operations. He’s used other software in the past and acknowledges that LP360 is all you need.

“This software is the best in the industry,” says Snow. “It not only processes LAS files as most other software can, but LP360 provides a large assortment of tools to help you generate deliverables that can create the best end products for your customers.”

The standalone software can handle multiple data sources and has been developed to meet a wide variety of applications. According to McNab, this is why LP360 is popular in the Geospatial community. “If you want to be super technical and get into the weeds of your data, there’s plenty of tools in LP360 for you to be able to do that,” explains McNab. “But, if you simply need to create a deliverable, LP360 allows you to quickly process your data without having to bounce between multiple different software products.”
